Old Mongolian applique Thanka- formed by connecting carefully cut material of different kinds. Each color is woven in a different texture. Far rarer than traditional painted Thangkas. This is a very special one, with numerous stones attached. The fantastic and fierce protective figure is beautifully crafted. Never seen another quite like it.
A bit over 30 inches tall by 26 inches wide including the black cloth framing the image.
