This is an extremely fine Japanese antique miniature box. The quality and detail in the creation of this special piece are awesome. As this is not my area of expertise, I will not give an estimate of age, but it is quite old. There are some age cracks, and the very delicate inner lip has some losses (cannot be seen when the box is put together). Otherwise in excellent condition. An incredible item. Stands 1 and 1/8 inches high when assembled.
