Country Group: South and Southeast Asia (Thailand, Burma, Laos, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam)
This is a very unusual solid cast Burmese standing bronze Buddha. the Mudra is highly uncommon, and is typically found on early examples. It is covered with a thick lacquer, and retains much of it's original gilding. I will not touch the surface, but I suspect that this piece has much more detail underneath,. I've never had another like it. It stands 5.5 inches high.
