This is a very nice provincial Laos Buddha. It is a delightful piece of provincial art with it's wonderful eyebrows, stout body, and distinctive hands: It is in complete condition except for 3 of 4 of the small feet that were originally around the base which cause the piece to need a wooden base(they may have been lost during the original casting process. A very creative custom base was made out of a piece of rustic teak. The Buddha stands 6 and 31/4 inches high, and close to 9 and a half inches with the base. This kind of Buddha is getting increasingly difficult to find in complete condition with good casting and such character to the Buddha.
