Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
WOW- powerful Nepalese Snake Goddess. Probably 18/19th century. Mercury gilding, striking detailed sculpting and casting. Perhaps the fiercest piece I have offered for sale. Large and heavy- 11.25" tall, 8" wide, 5" deep. Collected 35-40 years ago by a German gentleman traveling in Northern India and Nepal. This was the best of his collection.
