This is an item unlike any I have listed before. It is an incredibly expressive Sukothai period ceramic head. The expressiveness and animated quality of the face are remarkable. I have had it for many years in my personal collection. The original figure would have been quite large for an early Thai ceramic sculpture. The head is a very good size at 3.5 inches high by 4 inches deep by 3.5 inches wide not including the base. No apparent repairs. Probably the finest early Thai ceramic head I have encountered.
