Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
SUPERB circa 1930 Tibetan Bronze Buddha- probably the finest early 20th century piece of this type I have had the pleasure of offering. Note the incredible intricacy of the back-plate. Base is cast in 2 parts. The Buddha and 2 parts of the base are held together with modern screws which I believe are not the original ones. 9 3/8" tall, base measures 5.75" x 4.5". Beautiful!
