Country Group: South and Southeast Asia (Thailand, Burma, Laos, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam)
I believe that these two pieces are from Laos, and that they are fairly early. They are thickly cast, and are well executed. They are quite unusual, with huge hands and tiny ears. One is a Buddha, and the other is (I believe ) a Saenkachai, or "happy buddha", although I am not sure about this. They both have extremely unusual mudras. They stand 6.5 and 7.5 inches tall.
