A fine and early Northern Thailand "Lanka" style special alloy bronze Buddha. The alloy looks to have a good amount of gold and/or silver mixed in to it: it is a lovely rose-honey color that was hard to capture in the photos-it has a silky mirror smooth softness to the surface. The "Lanka" type is an early type of Northern Thai Buddha strongly influenced by Sri Lankan Buddhist iconography. Seated bronze buddha is 11.75" tall, base measures 8" x 4.75".
