Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
Fabulous Tibetan, Nepalese, or Northern Indian Buddha. With a strong Pala influence, I believe that this is at least 18th century, and possibly considerably earlier. I've never had a [iece of this type before, and am still searching for comparables. One of the best Buddhas I've had in some time. Either bronze or a copper alloy. Very special. Not inexpensive.
17 inches tall. Bottom on base measures 12" x 6".
