Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
This is a base for what must have been an incredible statue. Purchased by the previous owner in the 1970's from Bonham/Butterfields in San Francisco. They described it as 15/16thC, and made of iron inlaid with gold and silver.Quite wonderful-more so in person than in photos. 5" x 5" x 1 1/8". Iron or iron alloy.
