This is a rare, early and very powerful 600 year old Tibetan solid cast iron sculpture of Jambala or Dzambala. He holds his pet mongoose in his right hand, with coins flowing from his mouth. He sits powerfully relaxed in the "royal ease" position. Finely sculpted iron Tibetan sculptures of this early date are extremely uncommon. I bought him suspecting that he was quite early, and got a confirmation of the dating from an expert appraiser and collector of Tibetan and Chinese Buddhist art. He was amazed that
