This is a very rarely seen Buddha: a large Ayuthaya Buddha sitting in the "European" position. He comes out of a prominent San Fracisco Estate (Oberlin) that had many great pieces of Buddhist art, and that was active in donating, and loaning their pieces. I managed to purchase 3 Buddhas from the estate. This is the largest and most valuable. The piece is a great size: he sits 15 inches tall by almost 9 inches wide by 6 inches deep.
