Unusual 17/18thC Laos or Northern Thai Bronze Buddha. Appears to be in very deep concentration. Gilding on face is probably comprised of thin sheets of gold pressed on during acts of devotion. Quite lare-total height is 19.75", the base measures 3 1/8" tall with a diameter of 4.5". Height of Buddha alone is over 16.5 inches. Base leans to one side- needs a shim to stand straight.
