Exquisite Javanese 8/9th century Buddha torso. is 6.5" tall not including the base. Offered at auction by Cristies in 1991 for 4-5 thousand dollars (7,000 to 9,000 gilders) (see catalogue in photos). Quite large for its type- the complete statue would have been close to 12 inches tall. Solid cast.
