Country Group:South and Southeast Asia (Thailand, Burma, Laos, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam)
Item id: 435

This is a remarkable Buddha, and is the only one of it's type I have ever encountered. It is an 18/19thC thickly cast silver Buddha of real beauty and quality. I have come accross many nice thinly cast Burmese silver Buddhas, but none were anything like this one. Additionally, it has an inscription around the base with is still quite clear. The condition is exceptional, with minor wear, and no losses or repairs. Stands close to 6.25 inches tall. Look at the photos........... The clay core has shrunk over time, but is original and untouched.
