This is a delightful and quite early Buddha from Northern Thailand or Laos. He has been in my personal collection for a while. He is in the Samadhi (meditation) mudra. The face, casting, and sculpting are superb folk art. He stands 6.25 inches tall and is extremely heavy for his size at over 30 ounces. A very sweet and unusual Buddha. Very good quality old bronze with a superb patina.
