This is a fantastic early Mandalay style bronze Burmese Buddha. It has a lovely face and a nice patina. It was originally lacquered and gilded: some traces remain. There are many copies of this style and many early 20th century pieces sold as earlier: this one is the real thing. He is a very good size at almost 10 inches tall by close to 8 inches wide at the widest point. I put a 7.25 inch Buddha in one photo to give a sense of his mass.
