This piece is a very nice antique Hindu Deity: I think he might be Vishnu. It came to me as part of a group odf pieces being de-accesioned from the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. He still has the museum numbers on the bottom, as can be seen in the photos. He has a wonderful face, and excellent detailing on the base. The patina is a wonderful chocolate brown. He has age, but i don't have experience dating these Hindu pieces to give an informed assement, so I'll leave it to you to decide. He is a very good size at over 13 inches tall. He is quite substantial at 14.5 inches tall and weighs an impressive 84.6 ounces. I put a 7.25 Buddha in one photo to give a perspective of his good size
