Delightful 19thC or earlier bronze Jambala, either Mongolian, Tibetan, or Nepalese. 7.5" tall. The sealed base is in the Nepalese style, but I purchased this piece directly out of Mongolia more than 15 years ago when such pieces were available shortly after Mongolia opened to the west. Style is very early, but I am dating to the 19thC due to the thin casting. I sold one closely related piece (2357) which also came out of Mongolia in the 1990's. This one is slightly better, and has an old, possibly original sealed underside.
