Near masterpiece- 16thC Jain Mandala. Large, well painted example in darkened by time condition, but otherwise exceptional overall preservation. Frame measures 33" x 32". Beautiful - photos can't do it justice. Expensively custom archivally framed for both protection and beauty. Very careful attention was used to make sure the colors worked perfectly and that the frame and background complemented the overall design completely. I took it to 5 different frame shops over a 3 month period until I found the perfect combination of red Thai hands spun nubby silk, wood framing with the multiple colors and lines in it that perfectly went with the patterns and colors in the piece, and a master framer who has respect and the focus to do the piece right.
