This is one from my personal collection of early Burmese Buddhas. I am not positive on the precise dating of this very unusual Buddha, as there are no reference books in English on this style that I have been able to find. I believe that it is an early "Jambupati" (royal style specific to Burma) from the Kingdom of Arakan. The face is quite unusual and very sweet.
