This is a very fine Thai Buddha from the Kingdom of Kampen Phet, which is near Sukothai and was founded by the grandson of the last Sukothai King. It is extremely well cast and finished, and has one of the best faces I have seen on this type in a long time. The base is a distinctive type that was commonly used in Kampen Phet.
