Very early Japanese seated monk. I believe it is pre-Edo, and is probably over 500 years old. His penetrating glass eyes are quite powerful. Large at approximately 17.5" tall. Beautiful!Wear to the surface, and some of the underside supports appear to be replaced. Otherwise complete with no repairs or loss other than surface wear.
