Quite special- this is the original image created for a 1980's Mongolian stamp (2 3/8" x 1.25") . Actual painting is 11" x 7.25". High end custom double frame with museum glass-measures 18 5/8" x 15". I have a related piece from the same series of stamps (there were six in the series). Rare piece- I have not seen any other original Buddhist stamp art in my 20+ years of collecting. NOTE- if you look at places like Ebay you will encounter "original stamp art". This piece is different, as the typical "original" art is a lithograph done in a limited run- perhaps of 100 or more. This piece is unique- there is only one original of this image, and this is it. Border has approval signatures and other writing- in Russian I think (Mongolia was under Russian rule when this piece was commissioned).
