Country Group: China, Japan and Korea
I believe this is late Edo 18th to early 19thC, though I don't have much experience with this type in this larger size. I've seen a number of quality Japanese bronzes like this- not solid cast, but no base plate. Somehow is hollow, but has no apparent seams. It is the largest of this type I have had in bronze, and is of high quality. The vast majority are wood, or quite small. Sits 7.25" tall
