Item id: 512

This is an extremely fine and highly uncommon Cambodian 18th century Buddha under a 7 headed Naga. In all my years of collecting and studying SE Asian Buddhist art, this is the first one quite like this I have come across. The Naga is separately cast, and the Buddha is very finely cast and finished. It has superb finishing, and a fist class patina. It is a little more expensive than some other Buddhas of its size, but it is truly a collectors piece. The opening price is right near cost, and I felt very lucky to get this one. A true beauty. Sits just a bit under 7 inches tall to the top of the Naga. Very heavy at 35.8 ounces with no clay core.
