Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
High quality Tibetan Thangka. Very well painted. Unsure how to reliably date, but I believe it is several hundred years old. Expectable wear and darkening due to age. Inner mat of painted Thangka measures 23" x 15.5". Outer (custom) frame measurement is 35.5" x 28". High end framing with museum glass, double matting, and double frame. Purchased from Bonhams in the 1990's.
