This is a superb 17/18thC Northern Thai bronze Buddha. It is a real beauty, with a superb patina, excellent casting and sculpting, and perfect composition. It also has a calm and beautiful face. It is mounted on a modern Thai base, which is much nicer than it appears in the photos. The surface on this piece is extraordinarily smooth: it has some light wear, but it has occurred in an almost perfect way to enhance the sculpture. The statue is solid cast. A true beauty. The bronze alone stands 8 inches tall. Including the base it stands 10.75 inches tall. Wonderful!!!
