This auction is for TWO 19th large standing Thai bronze Buddhas in “Royal Attire”. They were bought at an estate auction, and appear to have been together as a set in the USA for a long time. One is 22 inches tall, and the other is a bit taller. I put a They are in good condition, with the usual losses to the gilding and minor dings typically found on these period pieces. No significant damage or repairs. While they are not identical and did not start out life together, they make a nice pair, and are currently flanking my fireplace. They have lovely faces and a very gentle presence. It is the fist time I’ve had a pair of this good size from the Ratanakosin period. I’d prefer to sell them together, so I’m listing them as a set: if they do not sell I will consider selling them individually. Note: I will be traveling July 27th until August 5th, and may not be able to answer emails during that time.
