Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
This is a powerful example of its type, with an incredibly intense face. The painting is detailed, although there is some degrading in spots ( in the background and not on the body or face)-this is typical on old clay pieces. This type is usually referred to as Tibetan, although many of them actually come out of Mongolia. It is a very good size at almost 4 inches tall by 4 inches wide. My guess on age based on experience and from showing it to others is 75 to 100 years old or possibly a bit more. The back and edges have been repainted.
