Former owner bought almost 30 years ago directly from a monk ho had rowed across the Mekong River from Laos to the Chiang Kong area of Northern Thailand to sell a few items to raise money for his temple. He believed it was "pink gold". Not heavy enough for high karat gold, though do not know what the alloy is. It has retained the distinctive pink color for the 15 years I have owned it.5 5/8" tall
