This is an incredible Nepalese dance Mask of the highest quality. It looks to be early 20th century, and to have been used (not a tourist piece. The carving and painting are quite fine, and the wood is dense and heavy. The mask is close to 10 inches long by 8 inches wide. It has a great patina-this is one I hadn't planned to sell but I took photos of it for another purpose, and once the photos are taken I often end up posting things. I've never seen one nicer anywhere. Came from a collector who lived in Nepal. I saw him at a later point and out of all the items he had sold me he specifically remembered this one as a very special item.
