Antique Tibetan ritual bronze altar item attached to a wooden pole. High quality casting, with much of the original gilding remaining. This piece would have been suspended over an altar, and silk or other fine cloth would have been attached to make a canopy over the altar. The wooden pole may be later, and is removable. It may have originally been attached to a longer pole or other mount. I've not seen one of these before finding this one. Pole is 24" long. Looks to have good age- unsure how to date.
