Beautiful Burmese Buddhist Group. Exceptionally large and finely cast for its type. Tallest of the 5 figures stands at 13 5/8" tall- all figures are solid-cast, and are quite heavy for their size. Base measures 10 x 3.5 inches. Probably part of a temple group which included many other related pieces which each told a different story from the Buddha's life. In a 17/18thC style, but probably later. Best of its type I have encountered in 20+ years.
