This is the smaller of two very powerful ancient large iron Phurbas from Tibet or Nepal. They are the only ones I have ever seen anything like this. They are very large. This larger one is 50cm long, and the smaller one (also listed) is approximately 40cm long. They are very old, but I do not know how to date them: I would guess that they are 16-18thC, as Himalayan iron ritual such as these are typically quite early, although I do not know how do date these with any reliability. They are quite old for sure. . They were fully lacquered at one point with black lacquer. Both have horse heads on top and 3 powerful faces. While they are being sold separeately, I've put 3 photos of both Phurbas together so that you can see how they look together. They have power.
