Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
This is a finely cast Buddha made of either bronze or copper. The ribbons and other details appear to be separately cast. It is possible that this piece is actually from Mongolia. Very wonderful feel to this piece. Sits close to 7 inches tall. It is a considerable step up in quality from the cast majority related items. This was collected by a wealthy family from the Northwest in the 1920's, and was recently sold off by the estate as per the will to raise money for an animal charity.
