Item id: 576

This is an authentic 12th century Angkor Wat era Deity. This piece was de-accessioned by the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, and has Museum inventory numbers on both the lower back robe and the bottom. Periodically the museum sells off items to raise funds for new purchases. This piece was dated by the museum as 12th century. There is no loss or repairs that I can see: it originally probably stood in a larger base as part of a trinity, so it will need a stand in order to stand properly. It even still has the original mounting post, so this should be simple to do. The actual figure is fully intact. It has a good patina. It stands 4.25 inches tall. Nice item, and with a sterling provenance.
