Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
This charming antique Mongolian Dakini Thangka is a wonderfully animated example of early folk devotional art. Measuring 3.25" x 3 7/8", it captures a vivid triad of dynamic deities, each rendered with expressive movement, symbolic attributes, and the delicate spontaneity characteristic of Mongolian painting. The central Dakini stands poised in traditional iconography, flanked by two lively attendants, all set against softly washed backgrounds and ornamental lotus bases. Despite its age, the piece retains excellent visual presence and would display beautifully framed. Domestic shipping is included; international shipping is $20. A rare, intimate work for collectors of Mongolian Buddhist art.
