This one is a wonderful Thai bronze “portrait” sculpture of a revered teacher or monk. The kindness and serenity in his face say it all. Probably very early 20th century. I have seen a few of these S.E. Asian bronze portraits before, and this one is by far the nicest. The sculpting and patina are wonderful. Also, the others I have seen have been cast into thinner metal than this one. It has something (perhaps his name) carved into the front of the baseHe sits in the range of 7 inches tall.
