Song Dynasty Chinese sculpture of a Monk holding a duck. He has a delightful animated face . Purchased in the 1980's from The Oriental Corner, a well known high end Asian Antique Shop in Los Altos, California that closed several years ago. There is some degradation to the glaze on the body, and an original firing crack on the neck. The overall condition is excellent, with the figure complete, with all fingers and parts of the bird, with no repair or restoration. Far superior to the run of the mill. Stands a bit over 7 inches tall.
