Superb antique Chinese bronze Hotai. Very high quality casting. Looks to be 19th/early 20th, though I am unsure how to date this type. Previous owner believed he was 18thC Japanese, as he had been reportedly purchased in Japan in the late 1940's or early 1950's. Looks Chinese to me. Quite heavy. 10.5 inches tall, base measures 9.5 x 9.5 inches
