A world class 15/16thC Walking Sukhothai Buddha. A small fraction of this type you see are true period pieces, especially in this pristine condition. Beautiful "jade skin" patina (the most prized patina of all), and traces of original gilding. Measures 15.25 inches tall and its bottom has a diameter of 4.25 inches. The finest examples of this type I have ever come across. A copy of the original 1968 invoice from a high end antique shop in Bangkok, Thailand, is included.
