Deeply serene 16/17thC Thai Buddha. Very good quality. Condition as seen in photos. Quite large at 18.75 inches including the base. Bottom of base measures 4.25 x 4.25 inches. Stands well, though a little loosed where the Buddha connects to the base. Previous U.K. owner inherited this from his grandfather who was stationed in the far east of the British Empire in the 1920's. Flaw on front of chest is an original cast flaw which would have been covered with lacquer and gilding.
