Classic 13thC Late Khmer Javerman V11 Buddha of Compassion sandstone head. Purchased in Thailand by the previous owner in 1961 while working there as a consultant to the Air Force. Has what appears to be an inclusion or fault in the stone which runs down the side of the face. Probably original to the stone, though may be a later crack (if so it is completely stable). Dimensions without Base:
