18/early 19thC Sri Lankan sculpture of the last great King of the Kandy Kingdom of Sri Lanka. Most of the great Kandy style Buddha images were made during his reign in the late 18thC. Sits 9 inches tall, 8.5 inches wide, 4.75 inches deep. Loss of one ear. Wonderfully expressive. Rare piece.
