Country Group: China, Japan and Korea
12 Antique Chinese Tsa tsas, Ming, and likely much earlier. Based on the stupas flanking the Buddha, the look and composition of the tablets, and the overall look and feel of the multiple buried molded Buddhas, They are probably Tang or earlier. Each is approximately 1 3/8 x 1 7/8 x .5 inches. Clearly excavated, and still in their untouched state. They could be carefully cleaned to bring out greater detail. They look to have been in their current presentation case for many decades. Quite rare to find a matched set of 12 CHINESE Tablets- There are some groupings found in Tibet, and many from SE Asia, but very few multiples from China like this-especially 12 complete recently excavated ones.
