Country Group:
Purchased in the 1980's from the farmer who dug this up 20 years earlier in the jungle near some 15th century ruins about 20 kilometers outside the ancient city of Chien Sen in Northern Thailand. I later had it encased in 22k gold. Stands 2 inches tall. Significant value in gold alone, though stone cannot be removed so cannot be weighed separately. Stone is a very hard black river stone often used during the Chien Sen period when carving small Buddha images. I have encountered very few of these over the years. Perfect for daily wearing. For a period of time I wore this daily.
