Antique Fierce Tibetan or Nepalese 12-arm Tantric Deity standing on figure with elaborate multi-deity back plate. Originally had 2 additional small figures plus an additional piece on the top of the head. Fully assembled, the piece measures 17.5 inches tall, 11.5 inches at widest point. Back plate is double layer copper repousse, figure (very heavy) is solid cast brass or bronze inlaid with black stones or crystals(?), and base is cast and assembled bronze. Combination of tribal intensity and Buddhist focus. Originally consecrated in the back of the figure. Very unusual type
