Country Group:The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
Item id: 70

This is a wonderful 11 headed Avolkishevara, the Buddha of compassion. Outstanding countenance and overall feel. The casting and patina are excellent, with great expressiveness to all of the 11 faces (notice the protective face in the front just below the top head!). Traces of blue remain in the hair. The piece is missing one arm and it's original base, although this one is still far nicer than pieces I have seen selling for 2,000 dollars. The size is 6 and 3/4 inches, 7 and 3/8 with the attached base. A powerful piece.
